A Slovak foundry is interested in exchanging experience in the field of circular economy. Do you have any examples or ideas how other Danube region countries treat following waste code?: 100903 (furnace slag), 100906 (casting cores and moulds which have not undergone pouring other than those mentioned in 10 09 05), 100908 (casting cores and moulds which have undergone pouring other than those mentioned in 10 09 07), 100910 (flue-gas dust other than those mentioned in 10 09 09), 110502 (zinc ash).

In a first step you could check statistical data bases of countries you are interested in. You can either search for the respective codes in online documents or contact the Federal Statistic Offices directly. This might help to distinguish between "good/best pratice" countries and countries which are lagging behind. For a further research, it might be the easiest way to find a local (native speaking) partner to get further information and contacts.

Hi there,

Can you specify your question, regarding "treat following waste code", please?
Are you interested in the conceptual definitions of the waste codes, or in the industrial processes by which the wastes you have provided codes are
treated? That would help to answer your questions.

There is an example of a foundry in Croatia that furnace slag and casting cores declared as a byproduct, not waste, and used it as
an industrial agregate for backfilling purposes.
