Agricultural University has established itself as a national centre of agricultural science and education in Bulgaria.

Between 2012 and 2015, "Asociația Grupul de Acțiune Locală Țara Năsăudului" supported the development of local communities by selecting 39 projects in both the public and private sectors. They have been successfully implemented by beneficiaries in the field of public service development, tourism, education, agriculture and cooperation.
In the programming period 2016-2023 we continue the same mission - by supporting local development through projects in areas such as: associativity for promoting local products and advice for disadvantaged groups, interethnic communication and cooperation, forestry, non-agricultural services and small public infrastructure. -

Stručne aktivnosti ZIO-a obuhvaćaju izradu elaborata i studija utjecaja na okoliš, izrade dokumentacije za ishođenje objedinjenih uvjeta zaštite okoliša, ekspertiza na specifičnim problemima vezanim uz onečišćenje pojedinih sastavnica okoliša i iznalaženja mogućih inženjerskih rješenja koja će doprinijeti poboljšanju kvalitete pojedine sastavnice. U pristupu rješavanja problematike, osim znanstvenih i inženjerskih metoda naglasak se pridaje i optimiranju gospodarskog učinka pojedinog rješenja problema. Djelatnost ZIO-a primarno je orijentirana na suradnju s domaćom industrijom i gospodarstvom.
Djelatnost ZIO-a obuhvaća i intenzivnu edukaciju na širem području struke kroz organizaciju događanja koja uključuju seminare, radionice, okrugle stolove, tribine, znanstvene i stručne skupove s ciljem ostvarenja uvjeta za provedbu cijeloživotnog obrazovanja.

The Higher School of Insurance and Finance (VUZF) is educating students in Bachelor's and Master's degree in majors from the professional field "Economics". In cooperation with Cleantech Bulgaria, VUZF launched а Master's programme in Circular economy in the autumn of 2018. The Master's programme "Circular economy and sustainable management - innovations, entrepreneurship and clean technologies" aims to create and develop knowledge and skills in the areas of sustainable development, clean technologies and circular economy. The Master's programme targets representatives of business (primarily managerial level), start-ups, NGOs and state administration.

The association is a professional body, organisation for public benefit. The Association acts in line with the principles of environmental protection.
The association organises more conferences and workshops a year to spread professional information.
The professional work is carried out in the framework of Working Groups.
The members receive the Newsletter about the national or international conferences, books, information, national or international environmental tenders, EU or national environmental legislation. This is a tool for communication among the members, too. The member companies can share their news in a paragraph for free in these newsletters in every second week. We publish a yearbook on the environmental industry yearly. (EcoIndustry Yearbook).
We launched our Statement on Environmental Responsibility the year 2012. (Környezetvédelmi Felelősségvállalási Nyilatkozat).
The association has founded the Awards for Environmental Protection. We handed out the 2 categories for the 14th times this year.
In 2011 the KEXPORT Cluster was founded to promote the export of the environmental industry.
We have been organising the ÖKOINDUSTRIA International Environmental Industry, Energy Efficiency, Renewable Exhibition since 2009. We organised the 5th ÖKOINDUSTRIA International Exhibition at the Hungarian Railway Museum on 18-10th November, 2017.
We operate a database at www.kszgysz.hu (http://xir.kszgysz.hu) XIR, which contains companies of the environmental industry. The registration to the database is free of charge.

About
The University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca is the successor of the prestigious Higher School of Agriculture of Cluj, founded 145 years ago, in October 1869, under the name of Institute of Agronomic Studies, Cluj-Manastur. In 1906, the Institute reached the Academy level, becoming the Academy of Agriculture of Cluj.
Mission

Botanic garden and museums
Situated on the terrain of the USAMV Cluj campus, the Agrobotanic Garden shelters over 1800 vegetal species that can be admired by the visitors. Considering the fact that the Garden was created in 1903, in the vicinity of the ruins of a monastery from the XI century, it is probable that some of the species they had grown were preserved, as the monks had a medicinal herb garden and a pharmacy. In the beginning, with a surface of half a hectare, the Agrobotanic Garden was extended in 2007, reaching its actual surface of almost 7 hectares.
Initially designed as collections with academic educational and research purpose, the 3 museums of the university are meant today to be visited by the public having an educational, informational and documentary purpose.

The scientific results valorized by the collection of publications of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca reflect the objectives of educational and scientific excellence.
Library
The libraries represent the place where information is kept, systemized and conveyed. Furthermore, beside its functional role, a university library seldom has a social role, being the place where students and professors exchange ideas and conceive new projects.
