Purpose of the call :
The EIB is a major partner for circular economy investments in the EU. Together with the European Commission supports Member States in their transition towards a circular economy by providing finance and advisory for CE projects.
CE projects are generally eligible for financing as their support following priorities:
• Climate action and environment
• Innovation and skills
• SMEs
Minimum and maximum financial support:
Minimum financial support: approximately 25 000 000 EUR (smaller on a case-by-case basis)Maximum financial support: 50% of the total eligible investment costs/project
Eligible applicants:
Eligible applicants for the project loans:• Large corporates, including utilities• Medium-sized companies • Public–private partnerships/Special purpose vehicles (including for project finance)• National administrations or local authorities• Public sector companiesEligible applicants for intermediated lending for SMEs and medium-sized companies: • Banks, leasing companies, national promotional banks or institutions
